Tanjung Pasir Beach in Sumbawa Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province
Tourists have many reasons to visit Sumbawa Regency in Indonesia. For example, they want to explore the beaches and watch the underwater scenery. However, not all beaches in Sumbawa are suitable for snorkeling or diving. In this case, tourists should choose Tanjung Pasir Beach as their prime destination. The location of this beautiful beach is in Pukat Village at Utan Sub-District. However, tourists need to get to Moyo Island first before reaching the beach. The exact location is in the south end of the island. Aside from the beauty, the beach is also known as the resting point for local fishermen!
When it comes to nuance, Tanjung Pasir Beach offers both comfy and serene atmosphere. The white sandy shoreline looks pure, but it has gravels or pebbles on it. That means tourists should wear footwear when beach walking or exploring the beach. Many trees and bushes also grow behind the shoreline, adding comfort to the site. The sea is calm and the waves are small. No wonder, snorkeling and diving become the best things to do there. Not to mention the sea features beautiful underwater panoramas including corals and exotic fishes.
Exploring Tanjung Pasir Beach
Tanjung Pasir Beach is one of Moyo Island’s tourist sites. This makes the island more popular than others, as tourists can find many beautiful places to explore during the visit. The question is what makes the beach different than others. Aside from the beauty, it offers a unique nuance and landscape to visitors. For instance, tourists may find several unfinished Bale or local buildings in that area. Those constructions become a good background for photography, for sure. Aside from that, the serene sea scenery and other visitors would be good objects to capture too.
The next thing to do in Tanjung Pasir Beach should be relaxation. It is because the beach features an excellent nuance and soothing wind. Not to mention the shoreline has a beautiful soft-textured sandy landscape. It is comfortable enough for relaxation and beach walking, without a doubt. With these features, the beach soothes not only tourists but also local fishermen who often drop by for resting. They spend some time at the cape before going back to the land, after all.
Unlike regular beaches, Tanjung Pasir Beach has a dry landscape. This explains why the locals gave the name “Tanjung Pasir”, which means the sand cape. Some parts are of the shoreline are soft-textured while others have a rough surface. Thus, it is recommended to wear comfy footwear while exploring and walk on it. Also, it is better to come only during a good weather.
