Telkan Waterfall in Sumbawa Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province
Another beautiful waterfall awaits tourists in Sumbawa Regency. The name is Telkan Waterfall and it is located in Batulanteh Sub-District. To be exact, the waterfall resides in Tepal Village and has become the local’s best spot to enjoy relaxation and exploration. As for tourists, they also come to the site sometimes. They want to see the unique appearance of the waterfall and take a bath in the natural pond during weekends. Some visitors also take advantage of the peaceful nuance for relaxation. Somehow, that place is also perfect for relaxation.
As mentioned before, the nuance is peaceful. It is because the waterfall is located in the midst of lush nature. Tourists even need to conduct a short trekking from Tepal Village to the location. After arriving at the site, tourists may see a stunning waterfall with its three levels. The water discharge is strong and tourists can even enjoy showering under it. The next recognizable feature is the serene natural pond. The water feels refreshing and the depth is suitable for both adults and children. Not to mention the size is considered wide in order to accommodate lots of tourists.
Exploring Telkan Waterfall
Located in Tepal Village, Telkan Waterfall offers a short trekking to visitors. A beautiful landscape and challenging route accompany them along the way to the site, for sure. This trip is satisfying, but tourists would get more than that after arriving at the location. For instance, the waterfall looks beautiful with its strong water discharge. Not to mention it features 3 levels and creates a soothing sound of gurgling water. The combination of this serenity and beautiful nature helps visitors to get rid of their stresses at once! The site becomes a great destination to get away from daily busy routines, too.
Aside from the peaceful and relaxing nuance, Telkan Waterfall is known for its refreshing water! For those who carry extra clothes, it is possible to take a bath or shower under the waterfall. As an alternative, they can get in the natural pond and swim in it. As mentioned before, the depth is safe enough for kids. Still, parents must supervise the children during the activity.
What is more? Some people visit Telkan Waterfall due to the mystical ambiance these days. The locals even consider it sacred! It is also said the water is able to preserve someone’s youth (especially those who take a bath in the natural pond). Well, not all people believe in this, though. As an alternative, visitors can simply enjoy several activities like trekking, photography, and sightseeing!
